What this is
Darkroom Ad School is a free educational website operated by Third Polar Arch. It teaches Meta advertising for music and live events. Enrolling costs nothing, and there is no paid tier hiding behind the free one.
Who can enroll
You must be 18 or older to hold an account here. The signup checkbox is not decoration - if you are under 18, read the lessons, they are open, but do not enroll.
Your account
An account is required only for quizzes, finals, certificates, take-home downloads, and progress tracking. Lessons and the glossary are open to everyone, with no wall.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person. Do not share credentials - if two people need certificates, two people need accounts.
What we do not promise
This school teaches method. It does not promise results. Nobody can promise you ticket sales, and anyone who does is selling something.
Meta changes its platform constantly. Every fact here carries a verification date. A fact verified in July 2026 was true in July 2026. Check the date stamp, then check the platform.
Nothing here is legal, financial, or tax advice.
Certificates
Certificates are issued when you pass a final under the Honor Code. They are free, verifiable at the verify page, and they belong to you.
We may revoke a certificate if we find it was obtained by sharing answers or by having someone else sit the assessment. That is the only reason we would.
The demo universe
Safelight, Archie, and Contact Sheet Records are fictional. All numbers, account identifiers, and screenshots in this school are invented for teaching. Any resemblance to a real venue, artist, or label is coincidence.
Not affiliated with Meta
Darkroom Ad School is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Meta Platforms, Inc. Interface recreations in this school are original drawings of layout and information architecture. They contain no Meta logos or trademarked marks.
Content
The lessons, assessments, and take-home templates are the work of Third Polar Arch. Use them in your own work freely. Do not republish the course itself as your own.
Everything here is at your own risk
You use this school, and everything you take from it, entirely at your own risk. That covers the lessons, the glossary, the interface recreations, the assessments, the take-home templates, the spreadsheets, the checklists, the numbers, and any advice you believe you heard between the lines.
Every decision you make with this material is yours. That includes what you spend, what you promise a client or an artist, how you structure an account, what you install on a website, what data you collect, who you share access with, and what you do when a campaign goes sideways. We are the school. We are not your agency, your consultant, your lawyer, your accountant, or your co-signer.
If you apply something from this school and it costs you money, tickets, a client, a roster spot, a booking, an ad account, a page, or a night's sleep, that loss is yours. Read that sentence again before you spend real budget.
No warranty of any kind
The school is provided as is and as available, with all faults, and without warranty of any kind - express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Third Polar Arch disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the material is correct, current, complete, or applicable to your situation. We do not warrant that the site will be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defect will be fixed. Platform facts carry verification dates precisely because they go stale - a dated fact is a snapshot, not a guarantee.
No advice or information, whether spoken or written, whether from us or from anything on this site, creates any warranty not expressly stated in this agreement.
Your data, your accounts, your platforms
Your ad accounts, pages, datasets, websites, ticketing builds, and customer data are yours to run and yours to protect. We never touch them, and we take no responsibility for what happens to them - including suspensions, restrictions, rejections, disabled assets, lost signal, billing disputes, or data loss.
Meta, your ticketing platform, your DSP, your website host, and every other third party operate under their own terms. Follow them. Nothing in this school overrides, excuses, or interprets anyone else's policy, and we are not responsible for what any of those companies do to you or your accounts.
You are responsible for your own legal compliance - privacy law, consent, data processing, marketing and advertising rules, ticketing regulation, and anything else that applies where you operate. Where this school touches those subjects, it is teaching practice, not giving legal advice.
Your data
We collect what the school needs to work: your email address, your name if you give us one, your progress, your assessment attempts, and your certificates. No card details, because there is nothing to pay for.
We email you about your account and your certificates. We do not sell your data, and we do not rent your inbox to anyone.
Want it gone? Email hello@thirdpolararch.com and ask. We delete the account and its records. A certificate already issued stays verifiable unless you ask us to revoke that too, in which case the verify page will say it was removed at your request.
AI and training
Do not scrape this curriculum to train a model. The lessons, assessments, take-homes, and interface recreations are not a dataset.
Citing and linking is welcome - by a person, by an assistant, by anything. Quote a paragraph, name the school, link the page. That is what the llms.txt file is there for.
The site and your progress
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of this school at any time, including courses, lessons, downloads, assessments, and accounts, without notice and without liability.
Keep your own copies of anything you need. Progress records, attempt history, and account data can be lost, corrupted, reset, or deleted, and we do not guarantee backup, recovery, or retention of any of it. A certificate you have already earned stays verifiable as long as we run the verify page, which we intend to do indefinitely - intend, not guarantee.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Third Polar Arch and its owners, operators, contributors, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, ticket sales, streams, data, goodwill, business, opportunity, or reputation, arising out of or relating to this school - whether the claim is in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or anything else, and even if we were told such damages were possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to this school is zero United States dollars (USD 0). The school is free, you paid nothing, and nothing is what we owe.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where that is the case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.
You cover us
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Third Polar Arch and its owners, operators, contributors, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, fine, penalty, or expense - including reasonable legal fees - arising from your use of this school, your application of anything you learned here, your breach of this agreement, your violation of any law or third-party policy, or any harm you cause a client, an artist, a venue, a label, a platform, or the public.
The rest of it
If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, that part is limited or removed and everything else stays in force. Not enforcing something once does not mean we have given it up.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. These risk, warranty, liability, and indemnity terms survive the closure of your account and the end of this agreement.
If you do not accept every part of this, the remedy is simple and free: stop using the school.
Changes
This agreement can change. Material changes go in the changelog with a date, like everything else here.
